Canvas Buddy Settings

Core Runtime Controls

Core Features Summary

Summarizes Quiz Assist and Answer Display. A mixed state means only one is active. Toggling it changes those two controls, not advanced preferences.

Quiz Assist

Controls quiz assistance features. Your detailed automation settings are preserved.

Answer Display

Shows your chosen answer and quiz display details while preserving detailed display preferences.

Core toggles suppress runtime behavior without overwriting advanced preferences.

Privacy Shield & Status Panel

Privacy Shield

Keeps supported Canvas quiz activity private.

Status Panel

When enabled, displays a floating status panel that shows:

Real-time detection blocking logs
Event types being blocked
Timestamps and activity monitoring
Filter and search capabilities

Shows Canvas Buddy activity and diagnostics on Canvas.

Show Toast on Shortcut Toggle

When enabled, displays a brief toast notification on the page when you use keyboard shortcuts to toggle settings. The toast shows which setting was changed and its new state.

Share Usage & Reliability Diagnostics

Sends account-linked extension version, browser family, authentication outcomes, fixed onboarding step names, verified connection, first supported Canvas page, and feature start/failure milestones to Canvas Buddy. Never sends Canvas URLs, course or quiz identifiers, questions, answers, prompts, page content, campaign codes, API keys, webhook URLs, secrets, or tokens. Turn this off at any time to stop collection and clear queued diagnostics on this device.
